The "Flip 58" is a valuable addition to my equipment. With the numerous amount of alternating possessions (A/P) on the grade school level, the "Flip 58" is much easier to keep track than switching pockets or keeping a rubber band on my wrist. On the high school level my mechanics have improved without having to find which pocket my whistle is in. I can feel the switch on my lip which makes my call immediate and keeps the game moving. I don't have to rely on the table, I can keep the A/P myself. I think this product is great!!
I was able to use them (the Flip 58 possession switches) for roughly 20 games, and I am quite satisfied with them. There was no noticeable degradation in the performance of the Fox40 whistle, the switch was inconspicuous, and I found the switch easy to use, easy to read. I would recommend them
to anyone.
Love the switch, great idea I used it at all my games all levels, I show it to everyone I work with and carry your card with me at all times
….With the "inexperienced" personnel we often find working the table, this switch (the Flip 58 possession switch) is invaluable and very inexpensive. I utilized this often during the regular season, and was able to correct a potential alternate possession miscue during a semi-final contest. I am surprised that more officiating boards/officials are not utilizing this switch. A MUST own!
…I do a lot of lower level games ,and in the course of time you run into a lot of inexperienced scoreboard table help, mostly parent volunteers doing it for the first time....with the possession switch i can control the flow of the game on jump ball situations by handling that duty to ease their learning in the scorekeeping duties.....it is one of the best tools i have invested on in my 12 years of officiating…
